Denver, CO (PRWEB) May 09, 2012

Imagine is where merchants, partners, developers and Magento enthusiasts from around the world come together for three days in an engaging and exciting environment for collaboration, learning, networking, inspiration and, of course, Imagination! The inaugural 2011 Imagine Conference was sold out with 650 attendees and a 250-person waiting list, and the 2012 event more than doubled the participation.

Magento is a leading eCommerce platform and a division of X.commerce, Inc., itself an eBay Inc. company. Over the past year, the Magento community has doubled in size to 808,000 registered members, and with X.commerce there are a total of 1.1 million members in its developer community. Magento is sustaining growth through its continued investment across its full product suite, including its Enterprise Edition and its open-ecosystem solutions to its cloud-based Magento Go offering.

While at the Magento Imagine eCommerce conference, Clark and the Unleaded Group team met executives of Imagine Silver Sponsor aheadWorks Co., the world’s most extensive provider of extensions, templates and themes for the ecommerce solution Magento. CEO Artyom Rabzonov and Dmitri Koteshov, aheadWorks Co. Partner Channel Developer came all the way from their home base in Minsk, Belarus to participate in the event. Unleaded Software, the award-winning design and development arm of full-service media agency Unleaded Group, has been named a Professional Partner with aheadWorks, and the two firms first met two years ago in Majorca, Spain at the Magento Developers Paradise conference.

Unleaded Software, founded in 1996, was one of the first website design and development firms in the nation to become a senior-level partner with Magento, now holding a Gold Solutions Partner status. Two members of the Unleaded Group Team, programmer Brian Lee and Development Chief Ian Kullhem, have achieved the Magento Certified Developer designation after completing a rigorous examination process launched by Magento early this year.

During the 2012 Imagine conference, Magento unveiled its latest solution updates, the Magento Community Version 1.7 and Magento Enterprise Version 1.12, both software editions that include native HTML5 for Magento Mobile, more robust visitor segmentation, sophisticated rules-based relations, automated generation of coupon codes, support for multiple wish lists, as well as an expansion of the integration of PayPal Payments, to name a few. These technology updates give merchants and developers more tools to deliver customized and seamless shopping experiences.

Participants in the Imagine 2012 conference heard keynote addresses from three of Magento’s senior executives — Roy Rubin, GM-Magento and Chief Product and Customer Officer of X.commerce; Matthew Mengerik, VP GM of X.commerce; and, Bob Schwartz, President Magento Inc. — as well as from four Guest Keynote Speakers — Tim Kring, Emmy-nominate screenwriter, producer and creator of the TV series HEROES; Alison Levine, Captain of the First American Woman’s Everest Expedition; and, Stephen Messer, co-founder and vice chairman of Collective[i], a software-as-service business intelligence solution; and, Jim FitzGibbon, former president of Worldwide Hotel Operations for Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts.

In addition, a multitude of breakout sessions were held during the conference, covering such topics as “Doubling Your Revenues in 6 Months,” “Web Merchandising – We Are Merchants, Aren’t We?,” “Conversion Optimization – Hands On Methods for Improving Your Business Online,” “Selling Internationally – Going Global with Magento,” and “Social Media – Money Maker or Bank Breaker?”
