When I press “Alt Gr + A” it creates a new unnamed window which immediately closes

On my keyboard layout “Alt Gr + A” usually creates “á”, but for a reason I do not know it has recently just created a new blank tab which immediately closes, and does not input the character I wanted. I am able to do other Alt Gr inputs like ó, and if I have Shift held I can create the uppercase Á. If anyone knows why it would be greatly appreciated.
