I’m not at all acquainted with the various color hats out there, I’ve always been more a hardware guy, but this is something that’s always intrigued me about spam ads and such. Why do they close/go away so obediently after clicking “x”? I mean, if it were me, and I had taken the time and energy to develop some insidious piece of code for unmentionable purposes, I would make it so that the “X” actually sends the “accept” response in order to bait all the clicks I can get. The only thing I can think of would be that maybe the “x” is applied at a different “step” along the data/communication chain, but again that just makes me curious how all of that works.
