Why does basically every game freeze after running for 2 seconds?

I enter a game, right now most recent one was rust, and it just freezes after 2 seconds in the menu.

This had happened before but I reinstalled windows and it stopped but now its back.

I fixed the issue in other games by going windowed/borderless where everything seems to run perfectly.

I’m starting to suspect the GPU more and more because it was used by a miner before I bought it more than half a year ago and it might be coming to its end.
