Okay, dual booting Windows 11 and Windows 7 is not exactly the best choice. I decided to install it on a Virtual Machine (Virtual Box), and considering i have pretty good gaming specs, holy cow it feels actually smooth there. But i have a question that i am really curious to know. I know that Vmware is said to be objectively faster and better on modern hardware. Then, how come every time i try Vmware the results are choppy at best? I cannot install anything with good performance.
I kid you not, i tried to use Windows 7 for some retro gaming on Virtualbox, and it can run my favourite games like Crash Bandicoot 2 and Crash Team Racing, Crash Bash well on some PS1 emulators too, and it can run decently some PCSX2 games. It’s more or less decent for browsing too if you pick Firefox ESR or Chromium. Vmware on the other hand, is overly choppy and barely works for my PC.
Is there something wrong with my PC or is Vmware not that great for older hardware?

And if you’re gonna ask why i wanna try Windows 7, simple it’s a nostalgic obsession i never want to get rid of. Windows 11 feels so lifeless and boring. Windows 7 was much more colorful and packed with tons of fun games, a memorable startup sound and aestethics.
