I’m starting use this laptop, with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 850M (2GB GDDR5). I bought new cheap RAM 2x2x8 GB (RAM Sh. DDR3L 16GB (2x8GB) SODIMM 1600mHz) and lately found that it causes instability and shutdowns of my pc in the range between 1-45 minutes when all 4 slots are occupied, but it works fine when only two slots are used.
I have made a RAM test for 16 hours without any error detection. So I wonder, if this laptop model is able to handle 4x8Gb, why is it unstable and shuts down? Different sources say different answers about RAM, so I’m a little bit confused. Also, I wonder if a PC like that should handle 32Gb. Is it possible that these RAM modules are not of such quality, or pc has issues addressing them? (I had read a review of a product that has the same serial numbers), Maybe it can be something with the BIOS or shared graphics memory too…
