I had so many problems after updating my laptop (HP) last night.
When I opened it for the first time today, my touchpad didn’t work. I tried to look up for solutions but ended up breaking my keyboard: I permanently deleted the synaptic driver from my device (my fault) through device manager, so I can’t download it anymore and the driver the HP support gives me isn’t compatible with my Windows version (mine is Windows 11, the given driver is for Windows 10).
I did a system restore to bring back my deleted driver. The available restore point was right before I deleted a bunch of apps from my laptop. My question is will doing a system restore bring back both my driver that I want and the uninstalled apps that I don’t need anymore?
I asked this because after more than an hour of waiting, it still says “system restore is restoring the registry.”
I’m too afraid to force restart it since I store all of my university files in this device.
