I have a laptop where it was upgraded from Windows 10 to Windows 11.
Since such an upgrade, there seems to be a lingering problem of connected displays.
Sometimes if I connect an HDMI monitor to the laptop, the monitor doesn’t work.
However, if I restart the computer, the monitor usually works again.
Then if I unplug the HDMI and then plug it in again, the monitor doesn’t work either, until I do a restart.
Before the switch from Windows 10 to Windows 11, this problem never existed.
I also remember that upon the switch to Windows 11, the connected displays didn’t work at all and display drivers had to be installed using one of those free driver finder tools.
Would it likely be a driver problem?
It may also be relevant to add that my particular laptop has two graphics cards, an Intel and an NVidia one.
