Well, Microsoft promised to protect your investments, meaning: The software you bought should still run when updating Windows.
However this is not the case:
I had a program written for Windows/98 that still worked correctly in Windows/XP, but did not in Windows 7 and Windows 11:
Some elements inside custom windows just did no longer appear.
Now I’m having a similar effect when running Adobe Lightroom 5.7.1 (the last with a permanent license) in Windows 11 (25H2):
In Windows 10 (latest) the windows look OK, but in Windows 11 some elements are missing:

Note: The window from Windows 11 seems larger, because the display has 2K while that of Windows 10 had just FHD.
You see that the text input fields are much longer and the checkboxes at the right are missing.
You cannot resize the windows in Windows 11, so that’s not an option.
I have two questions:
- Which (recent) change in Windows 11 causes that effect?
- Is there anything to do against it? I had tried applying compatibility settings (without any success) already.
