Default address in account in Magento 1

Right now we have on the address form 2 inputs: Use as My Default Billing Address and Use as My Default Shipping Address in the file edit.phtml. Is there any chances to add those 2 inputs to address book in file book.phtml? Now it’s only a button under every address that redirect you to address edit and only from there i can change to make that address default billing or shipping or both. I am working with Magento 1.9
