I’m about to sell my laptop with Windows 11 on it. I’ve just run a factory reset by restarting in recovery mode (Start — [Shift]+Restart) and running the factory reset and full erase of disk. The problem is that after that is done the computer ask for locale info and other info and I want to leave these settings to the new owner, but I can’t find a way to turn it off without a hard power off. Pushing the power button just puts it in sleep mode, and I can’t find any way to turn it off from the operating system.
I’ve disconnected the device from my Microsoft account, and everything is fine, but how do I leave the rest of the setup (locale etc) to the new owner without doing a hard reset when Windows starts asking for locale info?
Would be interested in any method that leaves the computer in a good state for the new owner to setup to his/her liking.
