Microsoft Office’s scanpst.exe won’t skip GUI and run from command line, what’s wrong?

I run the following command:

“C:Program FilesMicrosoft OfficeOffice16″scanpst.exe -file “E:HEmailEmailmail.pst” -force -silent -rescan

I expected it to skip GUI and continue running multiple passses without user intervention.

However, instead it shows the GUI dialog asking for the file to scan .

What do I do wrong?

My file mail.pst does exist at the given absolute path. My Outlook program is closed.

My intention is to run multiple scan-and- repair passes until a steady state is achieved without user intervention. What’s wrong?

Environment:

Office 2016 under Windows 10 enterprise on a 64-bit PC. (e: is an SSD, with 8GB free space).
