The cursor input appears to be lagging when I use the touchpad on my Lenovo Thinkpad P15 Gen 2. I am running Ubuntu 26.04 as an operating system. The specific behavior of the lag is a very slight delay in the input, but only when I have my finger off the touchpad and put it on the touchpad. That is, if I leave my finger on the touchpad and stop it, there is no delay when I start to move it again. However, if I quickly swipe while placing my finger on the touchpad, there is a noticeable delay from when my finger makes contact with the touchpad to when the cursor starts moving. This is even more noticeable with scrolling.
What might be the culprit of this problem, and what can I do to start troubleshooting?
