On this Windows 11 system USB Device Tree Viewer lists the HID Keyboard Device under port #6 (SONiX USB USB Composite Device) and the HID-compliant mouse under port #7 (HP 435 Mouse USB Composite Device). Both of those ports appear under USB Root Hub (USB 3.0) which has, in the Power Management tab of properties, “Allow the computer to turn off this device…” enabled and checked with “Allow this device to wake the computer” greyed.
USB Root Hub (USB 3.0) is in turn listed under USB "3.20" eXtensible Host Controller 1.20 (Microsoft) which has similar Power Management settings.
As a matter of interest, the Device Manager listings do not reflect this hierarchy.
In Device Manager, the HID Keyboard Device has “Allow the computer to turn off this device…” greyed and “Allow this device to wake the computer” enabled and checked. The HID-compliant mouse has “Allow the computer to turn off this device…” greyed and “Allow this device to wake the computer” enabled and unchecked.
Moving the mouse wakes the system, as does the keyboard, can anything be done to make it keyboard only?
