Why does Wondershare Uniconverter and Filmora both shut down my system when I try to use them?

I recently purchased a new Asus 501V Mini Tower. I installed the Wondershare (UniConverter and Filmora) programs and launch them just fine.

But when I try to perform an operation a message appears:

“Your computer encountered a problem and must restart.”

And then it restarts.

The same two programs run fine on my Acer laptop. The only changes to my factory Asus is that I added memory and an SSD. No other program causes this problem.
