I have an SharePoint list called Incidents with a Date column. And a calculated field called Month that extracts the month name from Date like “Jan”, “Feb”, etc.
Using the Month column in Power Bi Service, I can create a line chart that visualizes the 16 years of data, month over month (to visualize times of year that have more incidents). There are 12 X-axis tick marks, one for each month of the year.
And the Y-axis is a count of incidents for each month.
Problem:
The months on the X-axis are not in chronological order. How can I sort them in chronological order? Jan, Feb, March, etc.
Excel appears to do this automatically, but Power BI Service does not.
