Android-based Audio Recording Solutions: Termux

Perhaps this question has been sufficiently answered already, but I’m a novice when it comes to Android’s API and Termux. While not exactly an emergency, I would’ve been interested in discovering possible ways to record audio through Termux; I know of GUI applications that serve as competent tools for audio recording, but I’m completely ignorant about possible CLI solutions. I’m already aware that (on top of root access being disabled by default on stock Android) Android’s filesystem, API, and capabilities aren’t one-to-one with a traditional Linux counterpart (obviously, given smartphones aren’t traditional computers). I’d like to use FFMPEG, but it provides no “native” options catered to Android (aside from access to the camera for video, which I also don’t know how to configure/use).

Overall, all I’m trying to ask is if any interested/knowledgeable person would be able to give me pointers (even if they’re merely workarounds and not native solutions) on recording audio (and perhaps even video) using the Termux CLI (or any other available terminal emulator).

P.S.: I’m aware that I’m likely asking an impossible question. Still, the idea of possibly using an Android device’s video/sound card to capture video/audio through a terminal is interesting to me.
