So … My quesion is about: Why should we care about new systems, if they are really just a “platform” to run our beloved .exe files, and use applications.
So … Let’s compare windows 98 with windows 10

So … The CPU has to be 15 times more powerful
The ram has to be 31 times bigger
And … Is windows 10 at least 15 times better than windows 98? Isn’t it just that, we just throw performance of the computers out of the window just because of the laziness of the developers, not willing to use c++ and other programming languages efficient in performance?
That’s just a robbery of the performance lol. If they don’t have the skills to program the os efficiently, why they even have the job?
And windows … is just an OS, which just runs files on top of it. So, it basically does nothing useful, just runs everything.
And if we change windows 98 appearance to windows 10, update the drivers, why couldn’t we use it just as a regular win 10 now?
