ARM driver for Canon MF4880dw printer

I have a Canon MF4880dw printer (Canon ImageClass printer), and have it networked on my LAN. It has worked well with all my devices, except for now. I have recently inherited a Snapdragon laptop, which is based on an ARM chip. Canon does not seem to be keen on producing ARM drivers, especially not for a 2012 printer. Google AI claims that some of the universal ARM printer drivers will work for this printer. I have so far tried:

  • HP Smart Universal Printing (v5.06.1)
  • HP Universal Printing PS (v8.1.0)
  • Xerox GPD PCL6 V5.1076.3.0
  • Xerox GPD PS V5.1076.3.0
  • Microsoft XPS Class Driver
  • Microsoft MS-XPS Class Driver 2
  • Microsoft OpenXPS Class Driver
  • Microsoft OpenXPS Class Driver 2
  • Microsoft PCL6 Class Driver
  • Microsoft PS Class Driver

all using a Standard TCP/IP port. None of them work – AI seems to be hallucinating. The printer is not recognized as an IPP printer (and information says it is not).

Does anyone know of any tweaks that might get this printer working with one of the above drivers, or with any other driver? Either to driver setup of printer setup?
