ASUS Maximus VIII Extreme | No Splash Screen | No Display Output

I am facing the issue where I do not get any display output on my machine. The problem originated in that I was not seeing the splash screen upon start. I tried resetting the CMOS by removing the battery for one minute and then plugging it back in. After that I boot the machine up, only to have the computer reset and then proceed to not give me any display output. Help on this matter would be greatly appreciated.
