I’m sick and tired of having to click the home button after opening new tabs in Chrome and Edge. What is the most widely used browser that I can install on Windows and/or Linux that will natively let me set a URL for new tabs?

Our setup (in my opinion) is incredibly messy. I log in as marct.ipa@subdomain.domain.com to a host and, using just the basic git commands (clone, pull, diff, etc) I can edit and update the content via GitHub. All good and easy. However, our database guys do not want to use GitHub […]
Recently i had to upgrade to a new machine and had to spend a lot of days setup all my development environment : shortcuts, windows settings, control panel options, applications and so on. In the future when i change my computer again, i’ll have to do all these tasks again. […]
I’m running Firefox 144.0 under Linux (Debian 13). I have carefully read everything in the following superuser post concerning the bypassing of HTTPS in Firefox: Firefox allow HTTP URLs (and not force HTTPS) …and none of those Super User-listed procedures for site-specfic bypassing of forced HTTPS are working for me. I am – unfortunately – using MS Edge. As I am switching accounts, I need to export all cookies saved by the MS Edge browser for my existing account. For the purposes of this question, never mind about other aspects of backup – just cookies. I’ve found extensions which save […]
I’m trying to lease static IPs to the 4 nodes (Ubuntu 24.03-based) of my cluster by using dnsmasq running on the (OpenWRT 23-based) control board. This works neatly with 3 of the nodes, which get the IPs 10.20.0.12, 10.20.0.13, and 10.20.0.14, respectively. Node #1 (blade3n1), unfortunately, gets the (wrong) IP […]
