My laptop is a Samsung Essential E20 (NP350XBE-KDABR) that came with Windows 10. I’ve installed an updated disc image of Windows 7 to a bootable flash drive using Rufus, however, when I enter the boot menu the flash drive device doesn’t show up; however instead I tried to run setup.exe
directly from Windows 11. I get this (sorry, but the setup is in Portuguese):
Translated:
Windows installation cannot find a place to store temporary setup files. To install Windows, verify whether a disk initialization partition has at least 688 megabytes (MB) available.
I’m getting the error 0x80070490
. I checked the BIOS settings and secure boot is disabled. Any idea?
