This is really bizarre and I haven’t been able to find anything as to what is happening.
Full size picture emailed from iPhone to Hotmail address get’s converted to smaller thumbnail, and even when the same email is also sent to another email server at the same time with 2 recipients (I’m using IONOS for myself). I receive the images as attachments at full size. If I forward that email back to Hotmail it is received properly as attachments.
I looked at settings in outlook.com that Hotmail runs on and nothing stands out as an option to automatically resize the images. I’m recommending that the sender try sending using either the Gmail app or outlook app on their iPhone instead of the Apple mail client and await their response. Anybody see something like this and what was the resolution?
