I am running VMWare Workstation v17 and troubleshooting some USB issues I am experiencing with a Ubuntu 24.04 LTS guest and Windows 11 host.
In VM Settings → Hardware → USB Controller, there is a checkbox: “Show all USB input devices”. On mine it is unchecked which must be the default.
What does this option do?

I did try for a few minutes searching but was just too difficult.
My general question is if I have a VMWare specific question where do I look for more information?
and more specific question is what does checking the “Show all USB input devices” checkbox do?
