How do I find which Linux kernel release has/had which versions of modules/drivers? [closed]

I would like to find not on an installed system but in general, which Linux kernel release had which versions of modules included (such as iwlwifi)?

I need this to make decisions in bug reporting, error analysis etc and to find potential solutions. Are there any docs somewhere (I didn’t find any after searching)?

I am not asking how do I find this on my system.
