Currently going through a rebrand and changing the name of a company. I’m curious what happens when we change the name of our email domain through g suite. Our IT person says it’s best to change the domain name so we don’t have to migrate data between the domain accounts.
So, if a user created a account to a different platform (like StackExchange) using the g suite email address of the old domain email address, then we change the domain name, and now the user tries to sign in with the new domain name email address, what’s going to happen?
Keep in mind, it’s still the same g suite domain, it’s just renamed, and has an alias from the previous name.
