On October 4th 2022, Syria and Jordan have changed their time zone from UTC+2 to UTC+3 and abandoned DST. Immediately after the announcement, IANA updated their time zone database accordingly tz update.
However, Microsoft being Microsoft, they use their own time zone database, and they released an update for Jordan’s time zone, but ignored Syria completely.
They also ignored the hundreds of forum posts and comments requesting such an update.
I’ve tried emailing support and the chat support and DMing Microsoft employees and submitting issues through the Feedback Hub without any helpful response.
Servers and PCs that are on the “Syria Standard Time” time zone show the wrong time. How to submit time zone changes to Microsoft?
