I have a Motorola Moto G50 5G. It has a dual SIM slot. It does not have eSIM built in.
I have recently learnt about eSIM and I like the idea of getting SIM capabilities when I travel internationally without having to buy SIMs. Moreover, there seem to be a lot of cost-effective eSIM deals.
So, is there such a thing as a physical SIM that I could buy and place in my phone that would let my phone activate an eSIM service? If not, could someone perhaps explain enough about how eSIMs work so that I can understand why this is not possible? (For example, maybe an eSIM requires some identification from the phone manufacturer or something like that.)
