I am trying to get profile information for reporting purposes, on our project management teams. Specifically I want their work number, to enable commnication.
I get the feeling I don’t understand Active Directory.
So I can easily read our Active directory with it’s 10’s of thousands of users. I just open PowerBI, “Get Data” from Active Directory, sign in, and done. Plenty of different tables etc, but that’s just a bit of grut work and common sense, and I have what I need.
Except I don’t. Some people “do not exist”.
But they do. I speak to them regularly, in person. They are running our projects. They’re just not direct staff employees, but rather external contractors. Whatever… that’s all fine.
So maybe there is a different active directory that’s connected to our active directory? Maybe our whole system is actually outsourced and it’s a third party active directory?
The system in question is a cloud based Office365 type solution.
So… what am I not understanding?
