The dedicated GPU in my laptop stopped being detected and utilized after I took the following actions:
- Used Razer Cortex to boost a game (“osu!” specifically).
- Powered off the computer without restoring the optimized items (I am unsure exactly how Razer Cortex works but that is the language the application uses).
- Removed one of the two RAM sticks in the computer.
When I powered it back on after removing the RAM, I got an error from GeForce Experience, and from then on no part of my computer has acknowledged that the GPU is even there. Intel integrated graphics still function.
Wiping the computer and reinstalling Windows 10 has not fixed the issue; nor has installing Windows 11.
I have my files backed up on a flash drive, so it’s not a big deal if a solution requires losing them.
