Opening lots of tabs causes 4 of my cpu’s logical processors to climb to 100% and remain there

It’s not about getting ram filled and slowing down, for a few seconds, while it’s writing to page file. My very old pc does that without any problems.

Actually ram usage doesn’t even have to be that high. But it happens faster if more tabs are open.

After opening many tabs, 4 of my logical cores go up to 100% and staying there. Everything is extremely slow or even frozen. The only thing that helps is closing some of the tabs and waiting for 5 minutes for those 4 cores to go down and resume normal operation. This happens regardless of browser.

If I don’t close tabs, it takes about 40 mins to 1 hour for those 4 cores to settle down.

I already tried updating drivers and also expanding page file size from 1800 mb to 20 Gb. It didn’t help at all.
