In the past, when a new message was created or a new reply was created, Outlook would default the editor window for the message to the “Format Text” tab on the ribbon. Now it defaults to the “Message” tab, which makes it annoying to do any editing of the text, as I have to change tabs. I have confirmed – email format in options is set to “HTML” like it always has been, so that is not the source of the problem. I also have confirmed that the new message opens up as HTML.
I’m assuming this happened with a recent update, but I’m not 100% certain since it is an enterprise managed install and I’m not sure when the last update happened.

Is there any setting in option is that I may be missing? Or can someone else confirm that this is a change to the default behavior from Microsoft?
