what happens if I disable bing search engine/search option in microsoft egde and how do I do it?

I cannot figure out how to disable or block microsoft bing or search option. I read a post saying it was possible with command prompt but it did not work with the code it gave me. I dont want to uninstall it because it says it would mess up the windows system but otherwise I would. Thank you in advance for your help. 🙂
