Since it was acquired by eBay, Magento has been in high growth
mode. The company reports that more than 150,000 merchants worldwide are using
its platform. As a result of this tremendous growth, Magento announced a new Solution Partner
Program in February of 2013 which
targets system integrators and web designers interested in implementing Magento
sites for merchants. The program includes training and certification
requirements and access to various marketing tools, product licenses and
support from Magento. Solutions partners earn commissions on Magento Enterprise
licenses but also have to pay an annual fee to be part of the program.
