I have both Ubuntu 24.04 LTS and Windows 11 installed in a Lenovo V15 G4 IRU notebook.
Every time I shift from Ubuntu to Windows I have to perform a manual synchronization because the clock is two hours off (I am from Italy).
Is there any way to tell Windows to automatically set the correct time?
I consulted two different sources, both suggesting to instruct Windows to use UTC in place of local time:
- Time wrong when dual-booting Windows and Linux (Super User)
- How to keep Windows 11 time sychronized alone with Ubuntu (Discourse)
The first one was suggested here, but the chosen answer does not contain any verified solution. There are other answers but they disagree about the right code to use.
The second one contains different code.
What is the correct code to use to instruct Windows to use UTC?
