I recently got a new router provided by my ISP, Windstream, and they gave me a T3260. I wanted to update the firmware but I tried going to Actiontec where I saw a firmware tag and I got hit with a “Privacy Error” and it forced me to exit, then when I went to our ISP website, Windstream, it hit me with another “Privacy Error”. I looked at the firewall settings but I haven’t played with the firewall all that much and I’m not sure what “In” and “Out” means on the firewall settings for the router. I tried YouTube and it didn’t give me a “Privacy Error”. I want to remove this as I don’t enjoy my router doing that, how can I get it to stop without breaking it? I already called Tech support and all they said was “Is it bad weather?” and something about helping which he didn’t help at all. They said they wouldn’t be here until tomorrow or something and I don’t want to wait. What are some steps I can try to make it stop throwing “Privacy Errors”?
