Youtube recommendations are better while not signed in [migrated]

I spend a good portion of time watching content on Youtube when not gaming or watching movies on my laptop in one room. It’s getting old though, and I have a newer Desktop in another room that I want to swap over to.

My issue is, the older machine has my Youtube preferences REALLY dialed in, the algorithm works! the sang there is that I’m not signed in to my google account. When I sign in though to my google account, the recommendations are not great. Its older stuff I use to watch years ago. if I sign out again, everything goes back to the good stuff. it’s likely the cookies/browser cache that’s its basing the recommendation on. I want to be able to see the same recommended content on the “new” PC though.

I tired to move all the data/history/cookies from
C:Users<username>AppDataLocalGoogleChromeUser Data
an the register key: HKEY_CURRENT_USERSOFTWAREGoogleChromePreferenceMACs
to the new PC, which mostly worked. it copied all open tabs, browser history, extensions, bookmarks. ALOMOST everything worked…..
All but what shows up on Youtube. now on he new PC it just shows generic stuff like 20 Mr beast videos, and whatever is trending with people a good bit younger than myself. whatever the main algorithm is bumping really.

what I want to know is, is there something else missing that I need to do to move over the experience on the older machine to the new one. I may be missing something, perhaps it might be cookie related? I NEVER store passwords, so not fussed there.
