SSD M.2 Compatibility Questions

I have an older system with a Gigabyte B450M DS3H motherboard (https://www.gigabyte.com/us/Motherboard/B450M-DS3H-WIFI-rev-10-11-12-13#kf) and an AMD Ryzen 5 3600 CPU. The Power Supply is rated at 600W.

2 Questions:

  1. I’m trying to add a M.2 SSD (the board has slot) and I’m pretty sure that I’m good to go and that purchasing a faster (e.g. ~7000MB/s SSD) isn’t going to be bottlenecked by the mobo or the CPU. Do I have that right?
  2. The mobo claims to accept processors up to the Ryzen 5000 series. Am I good upgrading to any Socket AM4 CPU or do I need to think about upgrading the Power Supply with certain models? If the latter is true which CPUs should I worry about or is there resource that I can look at that will give me the answer to those questions?

EDIT1: I’m looking to add an NVME SSD. Something along the lines of this: https://a.co/d/ekLVd0X

Thanks.
