i have two switches(d-link dgs-1024d) at work with two different internet connection on each one with the following configuration:
first router and switch :
10.1.18.2 is default gateway
10.1.18.2 is DNS
10.1.18.2 is DHCP
with 15 pcs configured to get an IP addresses and DNS automatically, connected to first d link switch and to the router (10.1.18.2).
second router and switch:
10.1.18.5 is default gateway
10.1.18.5 is DNS
10.1.18.5 is DHCP
with 10 pcs configured to get an IP addresses and DNS automatically, connected to second d link switch and to the router (10.1.18.5).
my problem is started when one of two internet connection get disconnected ,so that ,i get to connect one switch to the other to get internet connection(connected two switches together ) for example connect port no 24 of first switch to port 1 of first switch.
with this configuration in a place ,i have to go to each pc of first switch which has 15 pc connected to it and do IPCONFIG /RELEASE ,IPCONFIG /RENEW to get internet connection back with new ip addresses .
so how can i connect two switches together and get internet connection without visiting each and every pc and do IPCONFIG /RELEASE ,IPCONFIG /RENEW to 14 pcs
