When editing the file name in Windows Explorer (Windows 11) it’s always highlighting the entire filename after some time and overwriting my changes

How can I disable this incredibly annoying behavior of Windows?!
Multiple people have reported this issue (at least) since Windows 7 in the year 2011.
I am unable to find a SOLUTION.

Sidenote:
I use OneDrive, I tried to disable OneDrive but the same behavior is experienced.

In other words:
If I select a file, rename it (F2), highlight a word in the file, start typing a replacement Windows is conveniently highlighting AGAIN the entire filename.

Suggestions like

  1. be faster than the Windows auto-highlighting feature
  2. Copy/cut and paste the entire filename
  3. Adding a space and deleting it
are not helpful and no solution.
