Why does a Plantronics Poly C5200/C5220 drop out a few times a day on Windows 11?

A few times a day, my Plantronics Poly C5200 headset goes silent and the mic stops working. If I unplug it and plug it in again, it works again.

This has been happening for a couple of years. No soltuions from Plantronics.
