Thunderbird Supernova Quick Filter motion/animation in Vertical Layout

Whenever I select a filter on Quick Filter Toolbar, e.g. ‘starred messages’, the entire toolbar shifts to the left to provide some space for the text showing the number of selected messages. However, I find this toolbar motion a bit distracting and would like to find out how to keep it static, even if it means I wouldn’t see the text. I should add that this happens in Vertical Layout only. I use Thunderbird 115.2.0 on Mac OS. Can anyone help?
