I’m having a problem with my Lenovo USB-C Dock 40AY, my Lenovo laptop (20U2S4HE00), and my two monitors: (1) Gigabyte M27QA and (2) MSI MP273Q E2.
The problem is as follows:
When I connect both monitors to the dock, monitor (1) runs at the full WQHD resolution, while monitor (2) only runs at 1280×720. If I connect only one monitor, either monitor runs at the full WQHD resolution.
I have tried the following:

Restarting and resetting the docking station

Replacing the cables / using HDMI instead of DisplayPort

Updating the dock (it was already running the latest version)

Trying a different port on the laptop / a different port on the dock

Using a Lenovo Pro Dock* instead of the USB-C dock
*It works with both monitors, but constantly has lengthy connection problems.
I’m out of ideas and am considering exchanging the dock for another one—is it defective? Or should I buy a different dock?
