Are 3rd party drivers from Windows Update secure?

I recently bought an Acer laptop. After a new Windows install certain features like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, trackpad multitouch were not working.

I connected to internet and started Windows Updated, and noticed 3rd party drivers getting downloaded (manufacturers Intel, Realtek, Clevo (maybe Acer is rebranding Clevo**), Insyde (the system uses Insyde BIOS), BayHubTech (probably for the SD card reader)). The Clevo System Driver I am not sure why is being installed

Are there any security implications of installing the 3rd party drivers?

** The preinstalled Windows had the Clevo control center
