http proxy is defined inside profile and all cli applications like curl,wget,yum all work fine.
When running any browser over Xwindows and setting the proxy through the browser menu or system wide settings it can’t connect to the internet.The browser loads,can connect on localhost but not to the internet.
I’m accessing a Centos8 server from Windows 10 through Putty and X11 forwarding with Xming.
Really puzzling.strace doesn’t reveal anything relevant either.Any ideas on how to debug that thing? Thanks
