Noobie sysadmin here in over my head.
I’ve deployed a new VM into our scale cluster. Can connect to it via the Scale intreface and thus gave it a static IP with the requisite subnet, gateway address, and DNS servers. It connects to the internet just fine and I can ping it from my local computer. I have also enabled Remote Connections via group policy.
Yet when I go to RDP into the server from my local machine via the servers IP address, the RDP service attempts to connect to my local machine. It gives me the warning that the certificate for the machine that Im attempting to log into is not valid (showing my local machines host name), and of course blocks me saying that the machine has reached the limit of allowed connections. I am able to RDP into other servers just fine
Have yall seen anything like this? Any help would be appreciated.
