EBay closes purchase of Magento, terms not given

SAN JOSE, Calif. —
Online auction site eBay Inc. said Wednesday that it has finished buying e-commerce software company Magento Inc. for an undisclosed sum.

) purchased a minority stake in the company in 2010. Magento’s open-source tools for managing online stores serves “tens of thousands of merchants worldwide,” eBay said. Its software helps with payments, inventory management and other aspects of e-commerce.
