Eizo FlexScan EV2795/EV2781 wake up problems

I’m working in a company where our regular desk setups consist of one Eizo FlexScan EV2795 monitor and one EV2781 monitor, daisy chained through USB-C. Every employee has their own laptop (HP in my case) which connects to the EV2795 monitor using a USB-C cable.

When I’m in the office, everything works fine. After break (i.e. my laptop idled for a while and shut down its screens) I move the mouse and both screens turn on the way they were before.

In my home office I have the same screens, however only one of them turns on after break. The other says “no USB-C signal”, Windows “Display Settings” doesn’t see the screen either. Weirdly enough, its the EV2781 which turns on, i.e. the one which is daisy chained through the EV2795. I assume this is the case because the EV2781 is configured as the main screen.

To get both screens working again I have to reconnect the USB-C cable to the laptop.

So, since it works in the office, there must be a way to make this work in my home office. Is there some configuration option for the screens I’m missing?

To make this clear:
I have the same two screens at home as at the office, and I take the same laptop between the office and home, so I assume the laptop shouldn’t be the problem. I’m even using the exact same USB-C port on my laptop in both places.
