We have been using Google Meet for group video calls for many years now with no problems. But in the last couple of months, a new problem has started manifesting. Sometimes one or two of the 8 people in the call will start to become very pixelated.

They looked fine to start with, but then this happened. At first we thought that it was only people who were using their GPUs for AI training, but we have ruled that out. It’s not always the same person, and it’s usually only one or two people at a time, max. All people on the call see the same effect. This happens both to people in the same office, and to remote workers. After a bit, the problem goes away.
Any idea what’s happening here?
