Gorilla Commerce Moves to New GorillaGroup.com Domain

In response to rapid growth and the forthcoming launch of new products and Services, Gorilla has transitioned to a new internet domain, GorillaGroup.com.

The change, after more than a decade under the former gorillachicago.com domain, marks the next phase in the company’s growth strategy that includes ongoing office expansion and the launch of new products and services.

The Gorilla domain name transition coincides with the company’s overall expansion. This includes the upcoming opening of a New York City Sales Account Services office in the first quarter of 2012. It also follows Gorilla’s recent acquisition of R3Si in Kiev, Ukraine, which added a skilled team of Magento, Demandware and Sitecore engineers to meet the intense market demand for Gorilla Enhanced Managed Support, a proactive, turnkey site monitoring and post-launch maintenance service known as GEMS.

Beyond the URL change itself, the move in no way impacts the overall Gorilla brand, or how clients, prospects or partners do business with Gorilla. All corporate emails are being forwarded to the gorillagroup.com domain, and 301 page redirects were put in place for every active site URL to ensure proper content transition. The new gorillagroup.com is still home to the same Human-Centered Design, onshore Development, Strategy and Post-Launch Support teams that have fueled the company’s tremendous growth and led to Gorilla being named Magento Partner of the Year, selection to the INC. 500|5000 list of fastest growing privately-held U.S. companies and its receipt of 2 Interactive Media Awards in 2011.
